The Wanda website and mobile app are built by the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) as a free tool for travelers. ITM is responsible for the personal data processing and aims to process data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679. Which personal data does Wanda collect and for which purpose?
Wanda collects very little information about you. It collects device’s IP address and browsing information when using the website or app (see below) and you can assign your country of destination.
This information is used to provide the service, improve ease of use and also for us to gain insight in how the service is used and how we can continuously improve it.
Mobile app users can allow the app to collect GPS location data. GPS location data may allow us to send you push messages with relevant health information if you wish, e.g. in case of a disease outbreak in a specific area.
